I like to draw and paint directly from life.

I try to draw what I see in the simplest way possible. I look for the main lines, gesture and shapes in what I see.

I have a fine art training, specialising in printmaking. I enjoy the process of etching; cutting the lines, inking up the plate and clearing out the white areas. I apply this method to my drawing.

I have exhibited in London, Liverpool and Holland, as well as more locally in Stockport and Buxton art galleries. I am involved in the annual Derbyshire Open Arts open studio event.

I worked for over 10 years in the field of community art, and give art tuition to individuals and groups. I have seen first hand how creativity can enhance peoples' lives.
