Jo Orme

It is important that my work has a sculptural element to it. Having originally studied sculpture at Camberwell College of Arts in the 1990’s, these 2-D incarnations have been borne out of space, time and the need to continue creating.  I use a variety of techniques and media to create my work. Using as a base, original collagraph prints and screen prints these are then layered upon with found objects, both natural and man-made.  Texture, assemblage and composition are used to give the work a sculptural quality, with the addition of colour and mark making to give it context.
